03/11/2025, 12:09The Secretariat of the KR Commissioner for Children's Rights together with the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan launched an information campaign aimed at improving the legal literacy of young people in the area of labour rights and preventing the exploitation of minors.
The first training seminar was held in the city of Batken, Batken oblast. The event was attended by Asel Chynbaeva, authorized representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic for children's rights, Janybek Isakov, deputy authorized representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Batken oblast, representatives of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Inspectorate for Minors' Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the State Inspectorate for Social Protection of the Kyrgyz Republic, the authorized representative of Batken oblast in Batken oblast, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Kyrgyz Republic, the authorized state body in Batken oblast, and students of grades 9-11.
During the training, pupils received information on the basics of labour law, the rights of minors, the procedure for concluding a labour contract, and mechanisms for protection against violations by employers. The seminar included an interactive quiz to consolidate the knowledge gained.
At the end of the seminar, participants actively asked questions about child labour, labour migration, protection of the labour rights of minors and where to turn if their rights are violated.
As part of the information campaign, relevant trainings will be held in the cities of Jalal-Abad and Osh.
