The cost of gold rose by 1.6%. Weekly review

During the week from 10 to 17 February 2025, the cost of a troy ounce of gold (31.1035 g) in the Kyrgyz market showed stable growth, according to the National Bank.

The repurchase price increased from KGS 254 thousand 91 (10 February) to KGS 258 thousand 166 (17 February), so the growth was 1.6%. The selling price also increased to KGS 262 thousand 38.

The biggest jump in value was recorded on 11 February, when the sale price rose by 2 thousand 606 KGS compared to the previous day.

Over the weekend, the cost of a troy ounce also rose by 2,601 KGS to 258,166 KGS.

The growth of gold prices in Kyrgyzstan is associated with trends in the world market of precious metals, where gold retains the status of a protective asset amid economic uncertainty. Exchange rate fluctuations of the US dollar also have a possible impact.

The current trend indicates a continuation of gold price growth in the near future, but much will depend on external economic factors, including the decisions of the US Federal Reserve System and the dynamics of global financial markets.
