Domestic demand provided GDP growth in Kyrgyzstan

In January 2025, Kyrgyzstan's GDP increased by 10.6 per cent year-on-year. The main driver of growth remains strong domestic demand, which continues to support the country's economy.

According to the data, 39% of GDP growth was driven by domestic trade, indicating strong consumer activity. The services sector (excluding trade) contributed 23 per cent of growth, while manufacturing contributed 13 percent.

By the end of 2025, the Kyrgyz economy is projected to grow by 8.7 per cent if consumer demand remains high.
