Road transport, on the contrary, has almost halved in price - by 42.7%. Water transport remained unchanged during this time. This is reported by the statistical office
According to the Kyrgyz Temir Jolu tariff manual, the cost of railway transport depends on the distance and category of cargo. For oversized and non-hazardous cargo, tariffs range from KGS 3.63 (KGS 388.55) to 39.96 (KGS 4,277.29) per tonne. In the case of dangerous goods, the price can go up to 700 francs per tonne (74 thousand 927.48 KGS) - about the price of an average iPhone.
Interestingly, road transport is getting cheaper despite the fact that prices for fuel and lubricants rose by 64.6% over the same period.
