04/14/2025, 17:54In 2024, dozens of small and medium-sized HPPs were commissioned in the country, including: ‘Bala-Saruu’, ‘Kainama’, ‘Kok-Art’, ‘Ysyk-Ata’ and others. The construction of the strategically important HPP ‘Kambar-Ata-1’ with a capacity of 1860 MW, which will significantly strengthen the energy security of the country, is also underway.
Particular attention is paid to small HPPs: the government is creating favourable conditions for investors, which makes it possible to launch new facilities at an accelerated pace throughout the country.
