On 7 March 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to France Sadyk Sher-Niyaz met with Deputy Director General of MEDEF International Geraldine Lemblé.

At the meeting, the issues of expanding trade and economic cooperation and increasing trade turnover between the two countries were discussed. One of the key topics was holding a business forum in Bishkek in late May with the participation of representatives of French business. The Ambassador suggested timing the event to coincide with the visit of the French Minister of Foreign Trade to Kyrgyzstan, which could increase the interest of investors.

Geraldine Lemblé confirmed the high interest of French entrepreneurs in the Central Asian market and outlined priority areas for joint projects.

Following the talks, the parties agreed to intensify cooperation in the economic sphere and start preparations for the business forum, the main organiser of which will be MEDEF International from the French side.
