In Bishkek, the grand opening of the new building of the branch of the Family Medicine Centre № 2, located in the residential area ‘Chon-Aryk’ took place.
The new building will provide residents of this area with quality medical care. The centre will serve more than 26 thousand people. All necessary conditions for comfortable reception of patients, work of doctors and medical staff have been created in the building.
«The opening of the new building of the branch of the Family Medicine Centre No. 2 is an important step in the development of primary health care in Bishkek. Now residents of the district will be able to receive quality medical services in comfortable conditions that meet modern standards. Strengthening the health infrastructure remains our priority, and this project is a vivid example of effective co-operation between the state and municipal authorities», — said Deputy Minister of Health Kaarmanbek Baidavletov.
He also expressed gratitude to the Bishkek Mayor's Office for the construction of the new CHCM at the expense of the local budget.
«Bishkek City Hall pays special attention to improving the quality of life of citizens. One of the important directions is the provision of medical services. Residents of the Chon-Aryk housing estate needed a polyclinic to receive timely and qualified medical care. Within the city budget the Mayor's Office has found and allocated KGS 145 million for the construction and improvement of the territory of this clinic. Of course, the municipality will continue to work in this direction», — said Victoria Mozgacheva, Deputy Mayor of Bishkek.
The centre offers comfortable conditions for patients and medical staff. There are doctors' offices, ECG, ultrasound, X-ray, physical room, sterilisation, technical and household rooms. There is also a lift and sanitary facilities for the convenience of visitors. Within the framework of the project the adjacent territory has been landscaped and gardened, which makes the centre not only modern, but also a comfortable place for medical care.
By the way, the branch of CSM No. 2 was established in 1996 and for many years was located in several buildings in Chon-Aryk and Orok residential areas. However, over time, the buildings fell into disrepair: the roofs leaked, the foundations slumped, and the working and patient reception conditions no longer met modern requirements. In this regard, the Bishkek Mayor's Office decided to allocate 2.3 hectares of land in Chon-Aryk village for the construction of a new medical centre.
