EAEU Identifies Industrial Sectors with Highest Cooperative and Export Potential

On April 8, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) approved a report entitled "On the Results of the Analysis of Promising Markets and Industrial Sectors for Joint Non-Resource, Including High-Tech, Product Exports of EAEU Member States".

The report identifies industrial sectors, including high-tech industries, with the greatest cooperative and export potential. These sectors include the chemical, metallurgical, pharmaceutical, electro-optical industries, as well as automotive and aerospace manufacturing. The recommendations set out in the document aim to ensure the growth of priority industrial sectors, stimulate innovative activity, foster the joint development of knowledge-intensive production, and explore new types of competitive, export-oriented products.

"The member states of the Union possess significant scientific and industrial potential for the development of key industrial sectors," highlighted Goar Barsegyan, Minister for Industry and Agroindustrial Complex of the EEC. "

Simultaneously, import substitution in high-tech sectors such as mechanical engineering, electronics, and chemical industry remains a priority in the cooperative partnership among member states.
