    Air transport services in Kyrgyzstan have risen in price by 17.6%

    From the beginning of 2025 to March, tariffs for services in Kyrgyzstan rose by 1.1% overall. These figures were provided by the National Statistics Committee.

    The largest increase was in air passenger transport, where tariffs rose by 17.6%.
    In addition, price increases were recorded for other types of services: preschool and primary education rose by 10.3%, hotel services by 3.9%, routine maintenance and repair of residential premises by 3.3%, outpatient services by 2. 4%, hairdressing services by 1.3%, passenger rail transport by 0.9%, cultural event organisation services by 0.7% and clothing manufacturing by 0.4%.

    At the same time, there was a decrease in tariffs for shoe repair services (by 1.2%) and public catering (by 0.3%).

    In March 2025, compared with the previous month, consumer prices rose in all regions of the country, except for the city of Osh, where a slight decrease of 0.1% was observed. The maximum price increase (0.9%) was recorded in the Issyk-Kul region.

    Overall, compared to December 2024, consumer prices and tariffs increased throughout Kyrgyzstan, with the highest price increase (3.5%) recorded in the Osh region. This growth was driven by the largest increase in prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages (5.5%).

    It is also worth noting that since the beginning of 2025, the maximum increase in prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products in the city of Osh was 6.8%, while for non-food products and service tariffs it was 0.8% and 2.2%, respectively, in the Issyk-Kul region.
