In Kyrgyzstan, the rules for calculating penalties for delayed wages have changed. According to the new Labour Code, the employer is obliged to pay 0.25% of the amount owed for each day of delay if the employer fails to issue wages, holiday pay or dismissal pay on time.

There is also a single limitation period of 3 years. If the employee did not receive the money on time, he can appeal to the court, the countdown starts from the date when the payment should have been received.

The amendments are aimed at protecting the rights of employees and tightening the liability of employers for late payments.
