In the first quarter of 2025, trade with third countries declined

According to the results of the first quarter of 2025, the volume of foreign trade turnover of the Kyrgyz Republic amounted to 2,070.6 million USD, decreasing by 13.2% compared to the same period last year. Exports decreased by 4.7 per cent, imports - by 14.6 per cent. The main decline was recorded in operations with third countries.

At the same time, trade with member states of the Eurasian Economic Union showed growth by 17.3%. Kyrgyzstan's main trading partners within the EAEU are Russia and Kazakhstan, which account for a significant share of mutual trade turnover. The increase in trade with allies partially offset the overall decline.

At the same time, there was a decrease in prices for chicken eggs and sugar. The maximum growth of consumer prices was observed in Osh oblast.
