The Jogorku Kenesh Committee approved amendments to the law on plastic bags

On April 7, 2025, the Budget Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh considered and approved a draft law amending the law on the restriction of the use of plastic bags and plastic products in Kyrgyzstan.

The draft law was proposed by deputies Marlen Mamataliyev, Eldar Sulaymanov, and Dastan Bekeshev. As Mamataliyev explained, the amendments are necessary to align the law with international standards set by the Eurasian Economic Union and the safety requirements for packaging under the Customs Union.
