10/02/2024, 16:25Today, October 2, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh approved in the third reading a bill requiring industrial companies to insure their employees.
These changes are aimed at strengthening the responsibility of employers for failure to fulfill the mandatory insurance of civil liability to employees, as well as for violation of insurance standards at hazardous industrial facilities.
The bill introduces administrative fines for those employers who fail to provide liability insurance for harm to the life and health of employees. A fine of 3 thousand soms for individuals and 13 thousand soms for legal entities is envisaged.
MP Dastanbek Jumabekov emphasized the need to amend the Labor Code before introducing new fines to harmonize the changes with labor legislation.
