04/14/2025, 18:00Deputy Head of the Cabinet of Ministers Bakyt Torobaev met with Shebn Alp, Head of the UK Export Credit Agency (UKEF). During the meeting, they discussed the possibility of allocating $2.3bn to support business in Kyrgyzstan.
Bakyt Torobaev noted that the country is focusing on developing agriculture, improving infrastructure and increasing exports. The government also plans to actively develop the processing of agricultural products and modernise irrigation systems.
The sides also touched upon possible co-operation in mining, construction and infrastructure development.
At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed interest in further strengthening ties between Kyrgyzstan and the UK.
