In Xi'an, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan - Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev met with Zhao Yide, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Communist Party of China of Shaanxi Province.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on a wide range of bilateral and multilateral cooperation issues and identified priorities for further cooperation.

Bakyt Torobaev emphasized the importance for the Kyrgyz Republic of implementing projects such as the Junda Refinery in Kara-Balta.

"I cannot but note the successful start of the Junda oil refinery project. The recently renovated enterprise was put into operation with the personal participation of the head of state. Your role in the implementation of this project is great. We also support the plans of Chinese investors to create an industrial park with a similar name in that city,” he said.

In turn, Zhao Yide expressed interest in strengthening cooperation between Shaanxi Province and Kyrgyzstan, as well as between the regions of the province and Chui Oblast, especially in developing trade and economic ties and establishing business contacts between entrepreneurs of the two countries.

In addition, the parties noted with satisfaction the launch of air communication between Bishkek and Xi'an and agreed to continue enhancing and expanding practical cooperation in various areas.
