For nine months of this year, according to official data, 16 insurance companies operating in the Kyrgyz market earned 3.8 billion KGS. Thus, the industry's revenues increased 1.4 times compared to the same period of 2023.

The main contribution to this growth was made by receipts from insurance payments, which took 80.5% of the total amount of income.

From January to September, insurance companies were able to obtain a balanced profit of 552 million KGS, which is 1.6 times more than in 2023. There was also recorded an increase in the number of concluded insurance contracts, which since the beginning of the year amounted to more than 959 thousand. At that, about 93% of them were contracts with individuals.

Voluntary insurance continues to be the most popular among citizens. About 75% of all concluded contracts are voluntary insurance contracts. In turn, the largest insurance payments were made for voluntary property insurance and personal health insurance.
