There is progress. Kyrgyzstan has discussed the withdrawal from the aviation blacklist with the EU

The Kyrgyz delegation met with the leadership of the Directorate General for Mobility and Transport of the European Commission (DG Move EU) in Brussels on 24-25 October. Daniyar Bostonov, acting director of the State Civil Aviation Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic, discussed with the Commission representatives the country's progress in the withdrawal from the EU blacklist.

Bostonov presented a report on the new programme's introduction,  inspectors' training and aviation infrastructure upgrading. Peter Sorensen praised Kyrgyzstan's achievements since July 2024, noting that the country meets international standards.

The European side has received the necessary documentation for Kyrgyzstan's inclusion in the annual EU flight safety report, which will be presented at the end of November. The possibility of providing advisory assistance from EASA, including the arrival of inspectors in early 2025, is also being discussed.
