    The Entrepreneurship Development Fund doubled its authorized capital and increased lending

    On April 25, the Entrepreneurship Development Fund held its annual shareholders' meeting. The fund's sole shareholder is the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic.

    The meeting approved the financial results for 2024 and the plan for 2025. Chairman of the Board Ishenbek Medetov reported that the fund's authorized capital had doubled over the year, from 620 million to 1.245 billion soms. The loan portfolio increased from 680 million to 1.16 billion soms.

    The fund continues to provide affordable financing to small and medium-sized businesses. In 2025, the organization plans to attract 500 million soms from the budget to issue new preferential loans.

    Priorities include developing a green economy, supporting industry, manufacturing, and women's entrepreneurship. The development of new loan products has also been announced.

    The Ministry of Finance has given a positive assessment of the fund's results and expressed support for its plans for the current year. The fund promises to maintain its momentum and continue improving conditions for Kyrgyz entrepreneurs.
