Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliyev met with General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Tho Lam within the framework of his official visit to Vietnam. The talks were held in Hanoi and were devoted to the development of bilateral cooperation.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers emphasised that Kyrgyzstan values bilateral relations with Vietnam.

‘I am convinced that with joint efforts we can give Kyrgyz-Vietnamese relations a new impetus, opening prospects for closer cooperation. We are interested in developing inter-parliamentary ties and establishing regular contacts between the international affairs committees of the parliaments of our countries. This will allow us to exchange legislative experience and promote comprehensive co-operation,’ Adylbek Kasymaliyev said.

In turn, To Lam reaffirmed Vietnam's commitment to strengthening relations with Kyrgyzstan and expressed readiness to further develop bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for cooperation in trade, economy, culture, humanitarian initiatives, transport logistics, as well as inter-parliamentary cooperation.
