    Cabinet of Ministers Chairman Adylbek Kasymaliyev visits Rogun HPP in Tajikistan

    As part of a one-day working visit to Tajikistan, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev visited the Rogun hydroelectric power plant (HPP).

    Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda personally conducted a tour for the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, during which Adylbek Kasymaliev familiarised himself with the progress of construction, the scale of the largest hydropower project in Central Asia, as well as information on the current state of affairs, technical characteristics of the plant and its role in ensuring energy security in the region.

    Particular attention was paid to studying the experience of the construction of the hydropower facility in the context of the implementation of the Kambarata HPP-1 construction project in Kyrgyzstan.

    «The experience gained during the construction of the Rogun HPP is of great value to us. Studying the technologies and methods used here will certainly help us in the successful implementation of the Kambarata HPP-1 project, which is of strategic importance for the energy security of our country and the entire region», — concluded Adylbek Kasymaliev.
