02/28/2025, 09:21The Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan and Central Asian Investment Holding JSC signed a Protocol of Intentions for the construction of the Kazarman HPP cascade. The document was finalized during a bilateral meeting between Taalaibek Ibraev and the CEO of the holding Oren Ahmet Mujahid.
The document fixes further steps on development of investment agreement, preparation of project documentation and feasibility study.
It should be noted that the project includes the construction of three hydroelectric power plants: Ala-Buga HPP with a capacity of 600 MW, Kara-Bulunga-1 HPP with a capacity of 149 MW and Kara-Bulunga-2 HPP with a capacity of 163 MW.
The total capacity of the cascade will be 912 MW, and the average annual electricity generation will be 3 thousand 746.3 million kWh. The implementation of the project will significantly increase electricity production in Kyrgyzstan.
