    Kyrgyzstan and Oman discuss launch of direct flights

    Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Zheenbek Kulubaev held talks with Tarek Miran Al-Raisi, CEO of Omani air carrier Salam Air, as part of his official visit to the sultanate. The main topic of the meeting was the prospects of expanding air traffic between the two countries, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

    Kulubaev highlighted in detail the progress in the development of Kyrgyzstan's aviation industry, emphasising the renovation of existing and construction of new air havens of international importance. He recalled the successful practice of charter flights between the countries by Salam Air and suggested considering the possibility of launching regular routes.

    In turn, Tarek Miran Al-Raisi thanked the Kyrgyz side for the information presented and confirmed the interest of the air carrier in restoring charter flights to Kyrgyzstan. According to him, this could become a starting point for the establishment of a permanent direct air service.

    Following the talks, the parties agreed to work together on the implementation of the planned initiatives, including the preparation of the necessary legal framework.
