Kyrgyzstanis most often take microloans from 10 to 25 thousand KGS

Most often Kyrgyz citizens apply for microcredits in the amount from 10 to 25 thousand KGS. This range accounts for 318 thousand loans totaling 6.3 billion KGS. This is evidenced by the data of the National Statistical Committee on the structure of microcredits issued to individuals.

More than half of these loans, almost 3.8 billion KGS, were issued for a period of up to three months, another 1.66 billion KGS - for a period of 6 to 12 months. Thus, borrowers use microloans mainly as an instrument of short-term financial support.

The second place in popularity was occupied by loans up to 10 thousand KGS- 285 thousand loans issued for 1.86 billion KGS. At the same time, larger loans from 50 to 300 thousand KGS are the leaders in monetary terms. They accounted for more than 32 billion KGS. However, such loans were issued significantly less - about 244 thousand.

The largest amount among all categories - 14.5 billion KGS - was issued for loans over 300 thousand KGS. There are only about 17 thousand such loans.

In total, since the beginning of the year, microfinance organizations have issued more than 1.1 million microcredits for 65.2 billion KGS. Of these, almost half, about 22 billion KGS, are loans for 6 to 12 months. Short-term loans up to 3 months accounted for 6.6 billion KGS, and long-term loans - more than 26 billion KGS.
