Especially sharp growth occurred in 2023-2024, when the volume of loans issued per month exceeded 10 billion soms per month.
Traditionally, December remains the month of maximum demand - in 2024, the amount of loans issued amounted to 18.1 billion KGS. This is three times more than in December 2021. This is due to increased spending from the pre-holiday period, which provokes an increase in demand for loans.
Despite the growth in lending, the average rate on consumer loans remains high. In January 2020, the average interest rate on consumer loans was 24.25% and by December 2021, it had fallen to 14.27%. However, rates began to rise again as early as 2022, reaching 20.81% in December 2024. At the beginning of 2025, the rate remained at a high level - 21.69% in January and 21.2% in February.
