    Kyrgyzstan and China strengthen co-operation in the field of digital technologies

    The Ministry of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies of the Kyrgyz Republic hosted a meeting with a delegation from the city of Karamay (Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, PRC).

    The Kyrgyz side was headed by Deputy Minister of Digital Development Rakhat Zhusumambetova, and the Chinese side was headed by Zhang Yu, a permanent member of the Karamay Committee of the CPC and Secretary of the Karamay District Committee. The delegation also included representatives of industrial and IT companies in Karamay.

    During the meeting, prospects for bilateral cooperation in digital technology were discussed, including sharing experiences in big data processing, cloud computing and digitalisation of public services. Special attention was paid to the interaction between the enterprises of the two countries.

    The Kyrgyz side presented key achievements in the field of digital transformation, including the development of data processing centres, introduction of cloud technologies (G-cloud), electronic document management system and mobile application ‘Tunduk’. The Chinese side, in turn, shared its experience in establishing a cloud computing park and data centres in Karamay.

    The upcoming international events were also discussed. The Kyrgyz side invited Chinese partners to participate in the Kyrgyz Information Technology Forum (KIT) on 29-30 May 2025 in Bishkek. The Chinese side, in turn, invited representatives of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic to the third China-SCO Forum to be held in June 2025 in Karamay.
