09/22/2024, 10:59Minister for Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Maxim Ermolovich held a working meeting with the President of the Association “The Non-Profit Partnership ‘Association of Corporate Lawyers’ (ACL)" Alexandra Nesterenko.
During the conversation Maxim Yermolovich spoke in detail about the main directions of the Commission's activities in the field of competition policy, covering the planned changes in the law of the Eurasian Economic Union, forms of interaction with the business community and state authorities of the member states in the framework of procedural actions, as well as the Commission's initiatives on market research.
At the same time, he emphasized that developing competition in the EAEU is a joint task for both the EEC and business.
The participants discussed the problems of delimitation of powers between the commission and national antimonopoly authorities, issues of application of EEC regulations and national antimonopoly legislation, composition and types of necessary evidence for different categories of violations. The approaches used by the Commission in analyzing markets were considered.
All attendees expressed their readiness to continue cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
