Kyrgyzstan and Iran discussed strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries. This was the main topic of the meeting between Minister of Economy Daniyar Amangeldiev and Iranian Ambassador Gholam Hossein Yadegari held last Friday.

Special attention was paid to the opening of the Kyrgyz-Iranian Investment Office. It is expected to become a key mechanism for attracting Iranian investments into the Kyrgyz economy.

Daniyar Amangeldiev noted the positive dynamics of bilateral trade. Among the promising areas of cooperation were discussed the possibility of establishing joint ventures for processing agricultural products, which will contribute to deepening cooperation in the agro-industrial sector.

At the end of the meeting, the Minister expressed his gratitude for the constructive dialog and confirmed the readiness for further development of mutually beneficial relations between the countries.
