    Ravshan Sabirov visited the participants of the social contract program

    The Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic Ravshan Sabirov visited the participants of the social contract program implemented within the framework of the state support of low-income and poor citizens.

    During the visit, the Minister got acquainted with successful projects implemented by the participants of the program. Social contract is one of the key initiatives of the President, aimed at helping to improve the living standards of vulnerable segments of the population by providing targeted support for the development of entrepreneurship and self-employment.

    Ravshan Sabirov noted the great importance of the program for improving the socio-economic situation of citizens and stressed the need to further strengthen its implementation.

    “The social contract helps not only to reduce poverty, but also promotes economic activity of the population. We see real examples when thanks to this support citizens create sustainable sources of income and contribute to the development of local communities,” he said.

    The Minister also spoke to the participants of the program, where they spoke about their experiences and successes. The family of Nazgul Naamatbekova said that they used the funds received to purchase the necessary equipment for car repair (welding, compressor, bolgar, orbiter, a set of keys for car repair), opened a service station in the yard of their house, now they repair cars from home and successfully work. Their income is 40 thousand soms. And the family of Keldibek Kanybekov reports that they receive income from sewing production. In doing so, he and his wife were able to create an additional 8 jobs.

    “The social contract program covers a wide range of areas: from the development of agriculture and handicrafts to the creation of small businesses. Since the start of the program, it has been used by more than 35 thousand citizens throughout the country, of which 597 families have been issued in Bishkek city,” said Minister Ravshan Sabirov.
