The Ministry of Construction and Architecture has officially completed its licensing and certification reform. Now, licenses can be obtained directly from the ministry—without intermediaries, overpayments, or bureaucracy.

Minister Nurdan Oruntaev warned construction companies and investors that fraudsters are still operating in the market, selling licenses for $200,000-300,000. Meanwhile, the official cost is no more than $17,200, which is paid exclusively to the state. Only six documents are required for registration, and the license itself is issued within 10 days.

“Those who fraudulently sell licenses will face law enforcement agencies, and their licenses will be revoked,” the minister stressed.

Special conditions apply to foreign investors: they only need to present a copy of their license from their country and pay 1.5 million soms. If they do not have a license, a new option is available: a license issued for a specific facility.
