Ministry of Labor: more than 58 thousand families receive a monthly allowance “Yy-bulө kөmөk”

In Kyrgyzstan, 58.4 thousand low-income families receive a monthly state allowance “Yyi-bulobulө kөmөk” to support children under the age of 16.

According to the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration, as of February 1, 2025, the total number of children receiving the allowance was 207.9 thousand.

The payments are provided in accordance with the law “On State Benefits in the Kyrgyz Republic” and are assigned to families whose total per capita income is below the minimum guaranteed level. Currently, this threshold is 1 thousand soms.

The amount of the allowance is 1.2 thousand soms per child, but for families living in high mountainous and remote areas a district coefficient is applied, which increases the amount of payments.

The allowance is paid temporarily - until the child reaches the age of 16, but not more than for one year from the date of submission of all necessary documents. After that, the family must confirm its right to continue receiving payments.

Citizens in need of the allowance can apply to the territorial social security offices for consultations and processing of payments.
