UAE is the main trade partner of Kyrgyzstan among the Gulf countries

Over the past four years, bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and the UAE have reached a qualitatively new level, and the United Arab Emirates has become the key trade partner of the republic among the Gulf countries. This was stated by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev during talks with Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs of the UAE Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the World Government Summit in Dubai.

Kasymaliyev noted that Kyrgyzstan seeks to further develop cooperation with the UAE, especially in the trade and economic sphere.

“Our relations have strengthened significantly in recent years. Today, the UAE is Kyrgyzstan's largest partner among the Gulf countries. In January-November 2024, the trade turnover between our countries amounted to $155 million, of which $99 million accounted for Kyrgyzstan's exports and $56 million for imports. I am sure that this figure can be significantly increased,” he emphasized.

In response, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan confirmed the UAE's interest in expanding cooperation and expressed readiness to implement joint investment projects.

Special attention during the talks was paid to the organization of the third meeting of the Kyrgyz-Emirati Intergovernmental Commission in Bishkek, preparation of the investment forum in the format of the Cooperation Council of Arab States of the Persian Gulf and Central Asia, as well as the development of the holding company “Abu Dhabi Kyrgyz Investment” and expansion of its activities.
