Kyrgyzstan is the first CIS country to launch an online platform for prosthetics

The international digital project ATTILAN, aimed at improving the rehabilitation of people with disabilities, has been launched in Kyrgyzstan. The corresponding memorandum was signed by the Republican Institution of Prosthetic and Orthopaedic Products under the Ministry of Labour and the Russian company Motorika, a resident of the Skolkovo Innovation Centre.

The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration press service reports that Kyrgyzstan will be the first country in the CIS to implement this pilot project.

The ATTILAN project is an integrated digital platform including a website, mobile application and databases. It is designed for interaction between people with disabilities and manufacturers of upper and lower limb prostheses, wheelchairs, prosthetics centres, and charitable foundations and rehabilitation organisations.

The platform provides a catalogue of technical rehabilitation devices, allows electronic applications for the manufacture and repair of prostheses to be submitted, and allows these applications to be recorded and managed. It also provides a system for chipping prosthetic devices through mobile operators to track user activity and collect usage statistics.

In addition, users will be able to receive notifications, access to instructions on how to use the prostheses, statistics on their activity and special forms for monitoring and reporting. The project promises to significantly simplify the rehabilitation process and improve access to necessary technical aids for people with disabilities in Kyrgyzstan.
