10/18/2024, 09:18The ‘green corridor’ project in Bishkek will cost the budget $5 million 283 thousand. This was announced today during the Urban Forum by Almaz Alymbekov, Deputy Director of Bishkek Mayor's Office Transport Department.
Currently, the preparation process is underway, and the project implementation is planned for 2025-2026.
The project assumes that green road infrastructure will be actively developed in the corridor. There will be a special lane for electric buses, modern stops will be built that will receive energy through solar panels, umbrellas will be built for pedestrian crossings, and herringbone parking will be completely removed.
A similar pilot ‘green corridor’ is be launched first along Kievskaya Street.
