03/02/2025, 10:52February 2025 was a period of significant decline in the dollar and euro against the Russian ruble. Over the month, the U.S. currency fell in value by more than 10%, dropping from 97.81 to 87.70 rubles, while the euro lost almost 9.9%, ending February at 92.04 rubles.
The Bank of Russia updated the official dollar and euro exchange rate to the ruble for the weekend. Thus, for March 1, the U.S. dollar rate is set at 88.2568 rubles. This is 0.64% higher than on the last day of February.
At the same time, in February, the Russian currency showed significant strengthening against the U.S. currency. During February, the dollar lost 10.11 rubles, or the ruble grew against the dollar by 10.34%.
At the same time, its minimum value for the month was recorded on February 27 - 85.93 rubles.
The euro also did not resist the strengthening of the ruble. Unlike the dollar, which rose against the ruble on March 1, the euro lost 0.51%, up to Br91.5655. Moreover, during February, it has already fallen from 102.13 to 92.04 rubles, that is, by 9.9%.
On February 27, its rate fell to Rb 90.18, which was the lowest value in February.
