Kyrgyz coins are being bought up in China for 275 KGS each

Kyrgyz coins are openly traded on the popular Chinese online platform Pinduoduo.

Prices range from 20 to 275 KGS. Both regular 1, 3, 5, and 10 KGS coins and collectible items are available for sale. For example, old paper banknotes.

It is unknown how the coins ended up on the Chinese marketplace. They could have been left in tourists' pockets, or someone could be buying up the national currency en masse for Chinese coin collectors.

Incidentally, it is not possible to order Kyrgyz som from China to the republic.
