    18 tons of unusable rice destroyed in Osh

    At the quarantine phytosanitary checkpoint “Kara-Suu Temir Jolu”, in the course of duty monitoring specialists of the Department revealed the fact of importation from the United States of a batch of rice products with a total weight of 18 tons, which turned out to be completely unsuitable for use.

    In accordance with the requirements of quarantine legislation and international obligations, as well as to ensure control to prevent the importation of phytosanitary dangerous products into the country, this batch was destroyed under strict control at the municipal landfill in the city of Osh.

    This case is the result of effective cooperation of state bodies to protect the territory of the country from the importation of phytosanitary dangerous products.

    The Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection and Quarantine will continue its work to ensure compliance with quarantine requirements and protection of food security of the population.
