04/25/2025, 10:03The U.S. dollar continues to strengthen in the currency market of Kyrgyzstan. Following the results of interbank trading on April 24, the closing rate reached 87.45 KGS per dollar, having updated the weekly maximum.
The total volume of transactions for the day amounted to $1.3 million, and all transactions were completed with settlements on the same day. The trades opened at 87.295 KGS, but as the demand for the currency grew, the quotations continued to move upward, which provided fixation of the rate at a higher level by the end of the day.
For comparison, on April 23, the volume of transactions was more than twice as high - $3 million, while the closing rate was 87.3 KGS.
We would like to add that today, April 25, the NBKR set the official dollar exchange rate at 87.3174 KGS, which is 0.37% higher compared to the previous day.
